Let's do the BBH first! This is hosted by Crazy for Books. The question is:
Why do you read the genre you read? What draws you to it?
Well, my favourite genre is fantasy and probably most the books I read are from that genre. Somehow reading fantasy gives me an entire new outlook on life. The following might make you think I'm crazy, but please, just bare with me.
I remember reading a book about this young woman, who at a certain point in the book stood atop of a cliff. The sea was splashing up and the wind blew ferociously. I can remember sitting on my bed, cross-legged, closed eyes, imagining that exact scene. I could almost taste the salty sea and feel the wind. This is why I read fantasy, because it transports me into a completely different world, even when I'm not reading!
For the FF:
This is hosted by Parajunkee! This weeks question is:
What makes up your non-human family?
Well, my dad's girlfriend has the cutest dog ever. So that's one. I had a recent, mechanic addition to my family: my Kindle. He'sonly 3 days old, but has already acquired a quite large amount of books for someone so young.
Next to that my stuffed bear is probably part of my family as well. It's just sitting on the far end of the bed and isn't really used anymore. But it feels right to have him there, especially when I get really emotional!
So how about you??

ReplyDeleteI love that you have your Kindle as a non-human addition to your family. I recently got one myself and I've definitely become attached.

I love fantasy too, especially YA, for the same reason...it allows me to travel to an entirely different realm. What book were you reading that described the girl on the cliff near the sea?
ReplyDeleteTo Amanda:
ReplyDeleteI'm very ashamed to admit that I don't know the title of the book anymore! All that has remained with me is that image!
Old follower, wanted to say hi! Drop by if you get a chance! Giving away
ReplyDeleteRot & Ruin and Patient Zero by Jonathan Maberry!
