Harry Potter Moment of the Week - Bravest Character Moment

Thursday means Harry Potter and Harry Potter means Harry Potter Moment of the Week, hosted by Leah over at Uncorked Thoughts. I absolutely love this meme and everyone should join in, whether you're a fan of the books, the movies or both! Leah also wrote an amazing post about her all-time favourite HP moments and it's a great list! Definitely go check it out because it will bring a lot of memories back! This week's Moment is:

Bravest Character Moment!
Oh no, I have waaay too many potential answers for this. Should I pick a moment for each character, in which case this post will never be finished, or should I go for some of my favourite characters? I'll just pick a few moments that I thought really showed the bravery of some characters and I'll start with one that might seem relatively obvious:

Neville against Voldemort

I originally wanted to go with Neville standing up the the holy trinity in the first book/movie, but then decided that this moment is so important for Neville. Not only does he stand up for himself, but he does so in front and for others. He isn't just brave for himself but also to inspire those around him and I think it's beautiful. Unfortunately I couldn't find a very good GIF for it.

Remus Teaching at Hogwarts

I guess it's not really a moment because the decision etc. happens off-screen, but I always thought it was so brave of Remus to return to Hogwarts. Not only must every corridor have been haunted with the memories of his supposedly dead or murderous friends, but he also knew it would be difficult to hide him being a werewolf there. And he still did it. Ten for you Remus Lupin! You go, Remus Lupin!

Just Luna's Everything

Ugh, I don't know how often I rave about Luna (probably not enough) but I just love everything about her. She is completely fearless when it comes to being herself and that's a very brave thing in this world. And in doing so, she's also a major inspiration to Harry! I think more people should be like her.

Ok, I think I might have slightly veered off the requested track, but once I started I couldn't stop. I have like ten more moments but there is too much of a good thing!
