Weekly Overview

I've only got one more piece of work to hand in and then freedom awaits me! I can't wait to have everything handed in and just be able to read what I want and have lie-ins till late! This week has partially been really good, but on the other hand I've been slacking a little bit! Let's see what this week had in store for me:

Three reviews is pretty good, considering I have been buried in course work. I can feel that I am getting annoyed with the pressure of having to review all these books in time. But I guess it's also a bit of a luxury problem since I get to read a lot of books I otherwise wouldn't have gotten my hands on.

  1. I know what you mean, reading is not burden (hopefully) but reviewing and explaining is, that's why the sooner it's done, the better. I'd love to read what you think about the Girls of Kabul. Well, enjoy your week-end ;)

  2. Love the review of "The Underground Girls of Kabul" sounds like the perfect book for my Girl Power page. I feel the pressure too often. That's why I stop to reflect on my blogging. Hope you visit that post next Wednesday and comment on it :)

  3. I understand the bane of the review process as well. Reading is a serious pleasure but sometimes.... I leave the reviews too long and it becomes a problem!

  4. The Underground Girl's Of Kabul looks so good. I have been to that part of the world and love to read books about the culture, very interesting. Have a good week.

  5. The Fangirl's Guide sounds great, I like books like that that celebrate geek culture. :) Surprised there aren't more of them. Glad you enjoyed it!

Have a great week, and enjoy your reading.

  6. The pressure to read and review by a certain date is annoying...but weighed against the advantage of having free books before their release dates...now that is a good thing.

I could never have done the blogging or this much reading/reviewing while attending graduate school, however.

But when I was taking graduate courses (at night), I was also working all day. So I guess that's why I didn't read novels then...LOL.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

  7. Wow, three reviews in one week. I am still working on consistently posting one review per week. What's your secret?!

  9. Three reviews is amazing! I NEVER get three reviews finished in a week. Never. Unless I do mini-reviews or something ;) I feel you on the time constraints though, the struggle is definitely real! Hope you have a great week!
